I've talked about Pandora in the past. It is a great site for discovering music and it's an easy way to play some tunes in the classroom. One drawback to Pandora was that naughty words popped up in some of the songs. Fortunately, Pandora has a fix to this little problem.

The most obvious choice for teachers and schools is to simply change the way they assess students. Schools could turn to in-class assignments as a more reliable way of evaluating what students know and how well they can express it.
If you like to play music in the classroom, consider these sites. Pandora: Enter a song (or artist) that you like; Pandora will create a radio station that plays music similar to the song you entered. You can tweak the profile by giving a thumbs up or down for each song.

With the rise of the internet, schools are seeing an epidemic of cut-and-paste [which is how I got this summary] plagiarism. But the same technology that's making plagiarism easy is being used by teachers to catch copycats in the act.
By this time you may have started to have students turn in digital versions of their reports and other assignments. The advantage to this method is that you can avoid carrying home giant crates of student work every weekend (a la Leschke). We also save toner in the printers.
